Updating Breaking News: APD looking for person-of-interest in Kelly Park School fire

The Apopka Police Department is looking for a person-of-interest in an arson investigation that occurred at the Kelly Park School in the early hours of Monday morning.

According to the APD statement, the fire started at approximately 4:50 am on Monday at the Kelly Park School, located on Jason Dwelley Parkway. The Apopka Fire Department responded shortly after.

According to the APD release, a person entered the school and started the fire at the school entrance, causing damage. The report did not specify or estimate the amount of damage the building sustained.

The Kelly Park School is K-8, with over 700 students registered.

The APD, AFD and the State Fire Marshal's Office are seeking the public's help in identifying the person of interest.

PERSON OF INTEREST: ARSON 

On Monday, at approximately 04:50 AM, the below pictured individual entered  the Kelly Park School located at 4700 Jason Dwelley Parkway and proceeded to ignite a fire at the entrance of the school causing property damage.  

The State Fire Marshall’s Office in conjunction with the Apopka Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying this person of interest.
