Is sustainability your love language?
Love is in the air this February – and Goodwill Industries of Central Florida (GICF) is celebrating with a special donor appreciation event.
Your donations ignite possibilities and spread love throughout Central Florida. With each item that is donated to your neighborhood Goodwill retail store and Donation Xpress Center, your generosity fuels job training and job placement services for individuals in Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Volusia counties. And, last year, your donations diverted nearly 24 million pounds of textile and other non-compostable items from Central Florida landfills.
Every donor will receive a $5 off $30 coupon for use on their next purchase at any Goodwill Industries of Central Florida retail thrift store. Empower your community to achieve their goals and prosper on February 17.
On Saturday, Feb. 17, the nonprofit will host “Thrift Love” to express gratitude to donors for their role in the mission of “Building Lives that Work.” While supplies last, community members who donate at their local Goodwill retail store (9 a.m. – 9 p.m.) or Donation Xpress location (8 a.m. – 7 p.m.) will receive a coupon for $5 off a $30 purchase to be used within two weeks from the donation. Donations of shoes, sneakers, clothes, housewares, and small appliances are strongly encouraged. Discount coupons are not redeemable at Goodwill Outlet Store locations.
Donations play a key role in providing resources and jobs to Central Floridians. Revenue generated through sales of gently used items funds the organization’s employment placement and job skills training services, as well as its vocational rehabilitation program.
