The NCAA Transfer Portal has revolutionized the way college athletes transfer to new programs, making the process more transparent and accessible than ever before. With the portal, athletes can explore their options, connect with coaches, and find the right fit for their skills and aspirations.

This groundbreaking platform has also introduced new flexibility into the recruitment process, providing athletes with more control over their academic and athletic careers. Whether you're a student-athlete who wants to take your game to the next level or a coach looking to build a winning team, the NCAA Transfer Portal is an essential resource for navigating the complex world of college sports.

No one has used this new process better than Apopka's Jarvis Ware.

Ware, a standout on the Apopka and Wekiva High School football teams, is leaving the University of Central Florida's program. As On3’s Pete Nakos reported on Friday, Ware entered the NCAA Transfer Portal and will play his senior season elsewhere.

Ware played for Apopka in 2016 when the Blue Darters went 9-1. He transferred to  Wekiva in 2017, where the defense allowed just 8.6 points per game, going 10-1 and earning a spot in the Class 8A state playoffs in 2017. Ware made four interceptions for the Mustangs, returning two of them for touchdowns.

After starting his career with the Missouri Tigers, he transferred to UCF in 2022.

Ware chose Missouri over South Florida, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and UCF. He appeared in 28 games as a defensive back at Missouri. As a sophomore, Ware had 33 tackles. In the 2018-2019 season at Missouri, he also made the first-year SEC Academic Honor Roll.
