Apopka boys win state bowling title. Again.

Posted

Apopka High School Boys Bowling Team comes from behind to win.

Four in a row. Can you say dynasty? The Apopka High School Boys Bowling Team just completed an unprecedented 4-peat.

That is right. The Apopka Boys have now won the state title for four, yes four years in a row.

It was not easy. They faced the team from University High in the finals yesterday at Broadway Bowl. And the boys from University were not intimidated by the Apopkans' resume.

The champions would be determined by the best of five Baker Games.

In Game 1 the Apopka boys handily bested the team from University (243 to 169.

But in Game 2 University came back to win by one pin (226 to 225).

Game 3: University goes up 2 to 1 by bowling 232 to Apopka's 227.

Game 4: Apopka ties the game score at 2:2 by bowling 279 against University's 242.

Is it just me or are these really high scores? Well, it is the state championship...

Game 5. It is all on the line now. Apopka rolls a 230 game. University bowls 191.

Apopka wins!

Again!!
