The first step is to relieve the Fire Chief of duty. There is obviously no confidence in his leadership by the men and women of the department, and the majority vote by city council asked for his release. He stated in one council meeting the the buck stops with him. That’s not true. The buck stops with the mayor. It’s his irresponsible decision to keep the safety and welfare of the department and community at risk with this lack of leadership.
