Updating Breaking News:
Orange County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an aggravated battery via shooting call early Tuesday morning near Apopka at the intersection of Hermit Smith Road and North Orange Blossom Trail.
A 35-year-old man alleged that he was shot several times by a person in a passing automobile. The incident took place at approximately 1:13 AM. The victim fled the scene and drove to East 2nd Street and South Park Avenue in Apopka and flagged down an Apopka Police officer. The APD officer contacted the Apopka Fire Department who responded and took the man to The Orlando Regional Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening gunshot wounds. No other information is being released at this time. The case is active and open.
