New Apopka Tijuana Flats opening soon

A tentative opening date has been set for the new Apopka Tijuana Flats restaurant, according to company spokesperson Monique Yeager.

Construction began on Monday, May 9th. The restaurant is now expected to open on October 31st.

Yeager stressed that the 10/31 date was tentative. "We have a date, but anything can happen and we usually wait until everything on the construction side is confirmed," said Yeager.

The Tex-Mex chain is building its newest restaurant in the Victoria Plaza shopping center. The new restaurant is being built in the space formerly occupied by the Golden Wok Buffet.

Tijuana Flats has more than 100 restaurants in six states. While this restaurant will be the first in the Apopka city limits, it is not the first with an Apopka address. The Tijuana Flats restaurant at Hunt Club has that distinction.
