• Description: The Museum Grants for African American History and Culture program (AAHC program) is designed to build the capacity of African American museums and support the growth and development of museum professionals at African American museums. The AAHC program supports projects that nurture museum professionals, build institutional capacity, and increase access to museum and archival collections at African American museums and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

Continuum of Care (CoC) Competition and Noncompetitive Award of Youth Homeless Demonstration Program Renewal and Replacement Grants - Department of Housing and Urban Development

• Award Ceiling: $2,000,000

• Description: The CoC Program is designed to promote a community-wide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness; to provide funding for efforts by nonprofit organizations, state governments, local governments, instrumentalities of state and local governments, Indian Tribes, tribally designated housing entities, and public housing agencies are eligible without limitation or exclusion, to quickly re-house homeless individuals, families, persons fleeing domestic violence, and youth while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused by homelessness; to promote access to and effective utilization of mainstream programs by homeless; and to optimize self-sufficiency among those experiencing homelessness.

Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace Frontiers - National Science Foundation

• Award Ceiling: $10,000,000
• Application Deadline: November 17, 2021
• Description: The Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace (SaTC) program welcomes proposals that address cybersecurity and privacy and draw on expertise in one or more of these areas: computing, communication and information sciences; engineering; economics; education; mathematics; statistics; and social and behavioral sciences. Through this solicitation—under the SaTC umbrella—NSF specifically seeks ambitious and potentially transformative center-scale projects in the area of cybersecurity and privacy that:
  1. Catalyze far-reaching research explorations motivated by deep scientific questions or hard problems and/or by compelling applications and novel technologies that promise significant scientific and/or societal benefits, and
  2. Stimulate significant research and education outcomes that, through effective knowledge transfer mechanisms, promise scientific, economic and/or other societal benefits.

Pandemic Response and Safety Grant Program - Department of Agriculture

• Award Ceiling: $20,000
• Application Deadline: November 22, 2021
• Description: Funds will be used to issue grants for COVID-19-related costs incurred between January 27, 2020, the date upon which the public health emergency was declared by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under section 319 of the Public Health Service Act, and December 31, 2021. Grants will cover the activities associated with:
  1. Workplace Safety Measures: Workplace safety measures, including, but not limited to, personal protective equipment, sanitizer, hand washing stations, air filters, thermometers, cleaning supplies, or similar items.
  2. Market Pivots: Market pivots such as transition to virtual/online sales costs (online platform development and fees, online marketing, credit card processing fees), supplies, new signage.
  3. Retrofitting Facilities: Retrofitting facilities for worker and consumer safety (plexiglass, walk up windows, heat lamps, fans, tents, propane, weights, tables, chairs).
  4. Transportation: Additional transportation costs incurred to maintain social distancing.
  5. Worker Housing: Additional worker housing costs incurred to maintain social distancing or to allow for quarantining of new or exposed employees.
  6. Medical: Unreimbursed costs associated with providing or enabling vaccinations, testing, or healthcare treatment of infected employees, including any paid leave.

History of Equal Rights Preservation Grants - Department of the Interior

• Award Ceiling: $500,000
• Application Deadline: December 1, 2021
• Description: The National Park Service’s (NPS) History of Equal Rights Grant Program (HER) will preserve sites related to the struggle of all Americans to achieve equal rights. HER grants are funded by the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF), administered by the NPS, and will fund a broad range of preservation projects for historic sites including architectural services, historic structure reports, preservation plans, and physical preservation to structures. Grants are awarded through a competitive process and do not require non-Federal match.

Healthy Food Financing Initiative - Department of Agriculture

• Award Ceiling: $200,000
• Application Deadline: December 7, 2021
• Description: Grants could assist projects with a variety of aspects of retail or enterprise development, renovation, and expansion. The grants will be one-time investments of capital into a food retail or food enterprise project in order to address higher costs and initial barriers to entry in underserved areas across the country.

Save America's Treasures Preservation Grants - Department of the Interior

• Award Ceiling: $500,000
• Application Deadline: December 14, 2021
• Description: Save America’s Treasures grants from the Historic Preservation Fund provide preservation and/or conservation assistance to nationally significant historic properties and collections. Grants are awarded through a competitive process and require a dollar-for-dollar, non-Federal match, which can be cash or documented in-kind. The grant program is administered by the National Park Service (NPS) in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

W.E.B. Du Bois Program of Research on Reducing Racial and Ethnic Disparities in the Justice System - Department of Justice

• Award Ceiling: $3,000,000
• Application Deadline: December 30, 2021
• Description: The W.E.B. Du Bois Program supports quantitative and quantitative research that furthers the Department’s mission by advancing knowledge regarding the intersections of race, crime, violence, and the administration of justice within the United States. In FY 2021 under the W.E.B. Program, NIJ seeks applications for funding of investigator-initiated research examining how observed racial and ethnic disparities in the justice system might be reduced through public policy interventions at any point during the administration of justice. NIJ seeks applications for funding from two categories of researchers:
  1. W.E.B. Du Bois Scholars - Researchers who are advanced in their careers (awarded a terminal degree at least seven years prior to December 31, 2021) may apply for grants for research, evaluation, and mentoring less-experienced researchers.
  2. W.E.B. Du Bois Fellows - Researchers who are early in their careers (awarded a terminal degree within seven years of December 31, 2021) may apply for grants for research and evaluation.

Airport Improvement Projects – Department of Transportation

• Recipient: Orlando International Airport
• Award: $4,253,897
• Description: This grant funding rehabilitates the existing taxiway lighting systems to extend its useful life and enhance safe airfield operations during low visibility conditions and rehabilitates existing taxiways to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement and to minimize foreign object debris. $3,406,579 of this funding comes from American Rescue Plan Act funding.

Community Policing Development (CPD) Microgrants Program - Department of Justice

• Recipient: City of Orlando
• Award: $116,442
• Description: Community Policing Development Microgrants Program funds are used to develop the capacity of law enforcement to implement community policing strategies by providing guidance on promising practices through the development and testing of innovative strategies; building knowledge about effective practices and outcomes; and supporting new, creative approaches to preventing crime and promoting safe communities. These funds will be used for a Youth Engagement Strategy Program.

Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program - Department of Justice

• Recipient: City of Apopka
• Award: $17,656
• Description: The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program allows states and units of local government, including tribes, to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime based on their own state and local needs and conditions. Grant funds can be used for state and local initiatives, technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, and information systems for criminal justice. These funds will be used for FY21 Operations Enhancements.

Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program - Department of Justice

• Recipient: City of Winter Garden
• Award: $13,113
• Description: The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program allows states and units of local government, including tribes, to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime based on their own state and local needs and conditions. Grant funds can be used for state and local initiatives, technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, and information systems for criminal justice. These funds will be used for a Ballistic Shields for Officer Safety purchase.

Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program - Department of Justice

• Recipient: City of Orlando
• Award: $178,252
• Description: The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program allows states and units of local government, including tribes, to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime based on their own state and local needs and conditions. Grant funds can be used for state and local initiatives, technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, and information systems for criminal justice. These funds will be used for an Orlando Police Department Forensic Improvements Project.

• Recipient: City of Ocoee
• Award: $12,188
• Description: The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program allows states and units of local government, including tribes, to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime based on their own state and local needs and conditions. Grant funds can be used for state and local initiatives, technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, and information systems for criminal justice. These funds will be used for in-car camera and recording software for a traffic enforcement vehicle.
