Update: Sheeler Road closed north of 436

According to APD Officers on the scene, Sheeler Road north of 436 will be closed until at least 6pm. The damaged power pole was caused by the Coke truck catching the electrical wire running from the power pole to the Pizza Hut. The pole has been replaced but new transformers still need to be installed.

A Coca Cola truck crashed into a power pole on Sheeler Avenue and 436 in Apopka, causing traffic delays, power outages throughout the area, and a small fire on the roof of the Pizza Hut at 883 Semoran Blvd. in Apopka, according to The Apopka Police Department's Public Information Office. Duke Energy repairmen are at the scene to replace the downed pole/transponder. The Apopka Fire Department was dispatched and put the fire out. There were no injuries.
