Breaking News Updated: Orange County Sheriff Responds in Force to Shooting on 15th Street

Breaking News Update:

As of 10:30am: Orange County Officials have released the identity of the shooting victim. Contondre Bryant, 18, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound, was taken to Florida Hospital - Apopka, where he was pronounced dead yesterday following reports of multiple gunshots in the area of South Apopka near 13th Street and Ocoee Apopka Road.

As of 9:30am, the OCSO investigation into the shooting yesterday is ongoing. Deputies are still requesting witnesses step forward. It was confirmed by PIO Williamson that "around 40 people" were witnesses to the shooting, but so far no one is fully cooperating. The Orange County Fire Department confirmed that the victim was an adult black male. Yesterday it was also reported that the victim was a teenager.

As of 5pm, OCSO Public Information Officer Jeff Williamson confirmed that a teenage male was shot and killed near 13th Street and Ocoee Apopka Road in South Apopka. The victim's age or name has not been released.

More than 20 Orange County Sheriff's vehicles arrived at the scene of the 200 block of East 15th Street in South Apopka, in response to a 911 call of multiple gun shots fired at 2:35 PM today. At the scene, they confirmed that one person was dead.
