Two wins down and three to go!

For most teams, the postseason is a time of extreme pressure. The idea of losing one game and ending your season can loom large on a team's psyche. But the Apopka Blue Darters seem to thrive on that pressure.

Playing perhaps their best game of the season, Apopka rolled the Winter Park Wildcats 28-7 Saturday night to advance to the Class 4M-Region 1 finals for the fourth straight season.

It was Winter Park's worst defeat and Apopka's largest winning margin of the year. And because of the top seed in the district losing, the Blue Darters will stay at home for that contest.

Senior Blue Darter running back Zeldrick Roberts ran for two touchdowns, senior quarterback Kaleb Hicks ran for one, and freshman quarterback Tyson Davison threw for a touchdown as the Blue Darters took a 21-7 halftime lead and never looked back. Shutting out the Wildcats in the second half.

The Blue Darters, now 9-3 on the season, will host the Lake Mary Rams in the regional final. Lake Mary defeated Seminole High 12-8 to advance.

The two teams preciously met this season on October 21st when Apopka rallied in the last minute to defeat the Rams 21-17 victory at Lake Mary.

The winner of the Apopka-Lake Mary game moves on the the Class 4M state final four and will face the winner of the Palm Beach Cetral-Palm Beach Gardens game on December 2nd.
