Blue Darters fall, Mustangs rise in AP Top 10 Poll

The Apopka Blue Darters fell to #5 in the most recent Associated Press State Poll of 8-A high school football teams. Deerfield Beach (previously #2) moved into the top position. The Blue Darters were ranked #1 in the previous week's poll.

The Wekiva Mustangs rose from a tie for the 10th spot to a tie for #9. They are tied with Winter Park.

Apopka (6-2, 1-1 in 8A District 4) is coming off a 31-27 loss to district rival West Orange. The Blue Darters are off this week.

Wekiva defeated Evans 44-7 last Friday to improve its record to 5-1 (2-0 in 8A District 4). The Mustangs face University High School this Friday night at 7 PM.

The Blue Darters and Mustangs clash on October 27th in the district finale at 7 PM at Roger Williams Field.
