The Apopka Boys have made it to the Final Four! Cumulative scores are dropped. It is now head-to-head to see who makes it to the finals. Please pray for our team!

The Apopka High School Boys Bowling Team are in 3rd place after bowling three games of 10 pin and three games of Baker for the qualification round. The pin count carries over to Round #2. After a one-hour lunch, the boys will start the Survivor rounds. After each Baker game, the field will be cut in half.

In 1st place is Sun Prairie High School from Wisconsin. Currently in 2nd place is Rio Rancho High school is from New Mexico.

Today is Day 2 of the inaugural US High School Bowling National Championships in south Florida. The Apopka High School Boys Bowling Team will be competing against the best teams in the country.

Yesterday was the Singles Competition. Kieth Horton and Nick Moyer made it to Round 4 (16 bowlers), but the cumulative score system kept them from making it to the Round of 8... Use this link to read the round by round coverage from yesterday.

Today is Team Bowling day. In Round 1 all bowlers play three regular games of team bowling and three BAKER games. new pair of lanes after each game. The top 12 teams with the highest eighteen games will advance to BAKER Survivor Round 1. Total pinfall for each team will carry over into the next round.

What is a BAKER game? In a BAKER game the entire team combines to bowl 10 frames. With five-person teams, the first bowler will bowl frames 1 and 6. The second bowler will bowl frames 2 and 7 and so on. The fifth bowler will bowl frames 5 and 10.

The Apopka bowling team has won the FHSAA State Championship for the last three years.

The U.S. High School Bowling Foundation is hosting the 2016 U.S. High School Bowling National Championship in Greater Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This innaugural post-season event was created to showcase the best boys and girls high school bowlers from across the country and to promote the importance and growth of high school bowling across the United States!

The 2016 U.S. High School Bowling National Championship is a two-day competition featuring both "Singles" and "Team" events in both Boys and Girls divisions.

On Day 1 all bowlers wcompeted in the "Singles" event in their respective divisions. On Day 2, all high school teams will be competing in the "Team" event, also in their respective divisions..

The competition is a USBC Certified tournament. The format of "Singles" event and "Team" event will each consist of a qualifying round, leading into the "Survivor" elimination rounds.. The "Survivor" elimination format was specifically designed to provide maximum opportunity for more bowlers to advance further during each day's competition.
