So far so good, here at our home off of Martin St., next to Apopka High School parking lot. Power still on, but it dimmed and flickered several times late last night making me think it was going to knock off. I don't have too many trees to worry about, because we lost most of them the last big hurricane (when the FEMA people came around removing all the tree debris) roadside. We had one super tall Washingtona palm that uprooted, and fell over the power line, across our driveway, and we couldn't move our vehicles out, or go anywhere, until somebody cut the palm down, and hauled it away. No tree trimmer would cut it, until the power people removed the power line from it. Finally, the tree trimmers contracted out by Duke Energy came and cut it down. I watched and kept telling them the power current is active to the line, please be careful, but they ignored me, so I said to myself, OK, I tried, I didn't want to witness someone get zapped and fried. I am sure they knew what they were doing, but still it concerned me that they cut that palm down, tangled up in the power line with the power on! That company was from out of state. Man, were we glad to see them!
